This year’s Wiki Loves Monuments  competition is almost at an end. With more than 350,000 submissions from more then 15,000 people in 33 countries it has been a huge success. The winners of the international photo competition will be announced in early December, but before that you can still vote for the best photo in the Europeana sponsored category – GLAM monuments. (GLAM is cultural industry speak for ‘Galleries, Libraries, Museums and Archives’.)

We’ve posted the best entries on our Facebook page - so vote for your favourite! Every ‘like’ counts as a vote. Spread the word and help us pick the Europeana Loves Wiki Loves Monuments 2012 winner!

Not only are you helping to pick a winner, you’re also helping us curate an exhibition because the highest voted photographs representing some of the best examples of GLAM monuments will feature in a special Europeana Virtual Exhibition. This exhibition will go live in March, and it will feature the Wiki Loves Monuments photos as well as related Europeana content.

So, vote now for the Europeana Loves Wiki Loves Monuments entry you love the most (that’s a whole lot of love!).  Be quick – voting will close Wednesday 5th December.
