Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people sharing all the world

“A dream you dream alone is only a dream. A dream you dream together is reality”
Lennon is mostly remembered for being the founder of The Beatles, one of the most successful rock bands ever. He left the group in 1969 and dedicated his last ten years developing a solo career. That year he married the Japanese artist Yoko Ono and soon gained visibility as a political activist protesting especially against the Vietnam War.
When Lennon was shot he was living a life dedicated to his family away from the media spotlight. Even 30 years after his death the world still remembers how this English teenager from a deprived background conquered the world with his music and transformed the history of rock and roll.
